Outdoor Tech Unveils A Budget Friendly Waterproof Case For The iPhone 5

September 2, 2013
While the market for waterproof iPhone 5 cases has exploded since the beginning of the year, none of solutions from popular manufacturers like OtterBox, Incipio, and LifeProof can be described as budget friendly. But Outdoor Tech has just introduced its Safe5 case for just $49.99. With an IPX-7 rating, the case can protect a handset in water up to 3 feet deep for 30 minutes at a time. Out of the water, users still have complete access to all the iPhone 5's buttons and ports. An iPhone 5 is protected from the elements thanks to a rubber gasket that runs all the way around the interior of the case. Users can open and close the Safe5 with three aluminum quarter-turn latches that can be operated with a coin. A rubber coating on the case’s front is also designed to improve grip and add aesthetic appeal. Buyers can select from one of three color choices – orange, aqua, and clear. The Safe5 can be ordered on Outdoor Tech’s site now.
