Smule effectively sings the praises of iOS 7 as it takes its cue from the visual style of the newly launched operating system in redesigning its global karaoke party app, Sing! Karaoke.

The popular music app developer has just updated Sing! Karaoke to version 3.0. As a result, the app has been given a fresh of coat of paint that’s inspired mainly by the flatness and translucency of iOS 7.

Sing! Karaoke

In addition, Sing! Karaoke 3.0 features the following improvements:

  • New sidebar navigation: all of your essentials including profile, feed, invites, browsing, are just one click away!
  • Better browsing: new categories to help you discover even more artists.
  • New vocal FX that take advantage of the processing power of the iPhone 5s: sing in a shower, opera hall, the Taj Mahal, and more!
  • New vocal wave: watch your voice dance as you sing your favorite songs!

The new iOS 7-ready version of Sing! Karaoke is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.

Note that while Sing! Karaoke is free to download, singing most of the licensed songs in the app is possible only after unlocking some in-app purchases. As my colleague Brent noted when he wrote about the app’s release in August last year, the app is “a fun way to do karaoke, if you’re willing to pay for it.”
