Looking to explore the so-called “final frontier” on an iDevice? In one new app, Space Qube, this is precisely what’s on offer for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users.
Developed by Playground Publishing, the new $2.99 game charges users with the task of building their own unique spacecraft, exploring the universe, and doing battle with a number of different monstrous “boss” characters.
Playground Publishing explains:
The universe is infested with dangerous monsters threatening all life! Build your personal spaceship and join Space Jack’s quest in saving the universe. Blast your way through endless levels of Alien mayhem. Can you beat them all to become the best of the best and score some rewards while at it? Find out now!
Thanks to the app’s “in-game Voxel editor,” iDevice users can create spaceships, manufacture them in-app, and soar off around the solar system. Plenty of models are available to choose from, and more are said to be coming in future updates, according to the app’s developer.
Features of Space Qube include:
- Retro shoot ‘em up using sensor controls
- Best music theme ever, no doubt
- Share your 3D creations online
- Use your own creation or download another gamer’s model to play the game
- 3D Print out your creations with one click
As mentioned, Space Qube can be downloaded for $2.99 and is optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
