This Week In Accessories: Sphero 2.0 Revealed, TrueClear InvisiGlass And More

September 6, 2013
Welcome once again to our weekly roundup of the latest and greatest accessories for your iOS device. This week, we’re (really) featuring an iPhone 5C case, a nice looking glass screen protector, and a few other goodies.

Sphero 2.0 Revealed from Orbotix

Fans of Orbotix’s new Sphero 2.0 should head down to their local Apple retail store for the chance to pick up a unique version of the iOS-powered robotic ball. Sphero 2.0 Revealed is highlighted by its partially visible shell that shows the inner workings of the robot. The inductive charger is also made of clear plastic to show off the copper coil. Just like the normal Sphero 2.0, gamers can download more than 25 apps in the App Store to take advantage of the faster and brighter ball. The limited edition Sphero 2.0 retails for $129.99. It’s available to purchase now exclusively at Apple Retail Stores or on Apple’s site.

TrueClear InvisiGlass from Belkin

Belkin is getting into the glass screen protector game, unveiling its TrueClear InvsiGlass earlier this week for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4/4S. Measuring in at only 0.2mm, the protector is 97 percent transparent for optical clarity and features a scratch-resistant surface. With a limited lifetime warranty, Belkin says the protector is compatible with any smartphone case. The protector also comes with a cleaning cloth, dust film, and smoothing card to help make installation easy. Both the protector for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4/4S retail for $39.99. You can purchase the iPhone 5 protector now, and the glass for the smaller handset is listed as coming soon.

ESB100 Speaker from Ematic

Boasting up to a 35-hour battery life, Ematic’s ESB Bluetooth speaker also features a built-in microphone for hands-free calling or your next philosophical conversation with Siri. As an added touch of personalization, music lovers can also take advantage of customizable speaker grills. The speaker retails for $39.99 and can be purchased on walmart.com now.

Complete Protection Kit for the iPhone 5C from booq

If you are absolutely, positively sure you’ll be purchasing an iPhone 5C when it is released, booq is on the ball with its Complete Protection Kit. Along with a thin black snap case, the company is providing a tempered glass screen protector and two adhesive home button covers. The kit retails for $34.95 and will ship on Friday, Sept. 20, the apparent release date for the handset. Eager buyers can preorder the kit now on booq’s site.
