Boxie Is A Powerful And Beautiful Way To Interact With Dropbox

October 16, 2013
While Dropbox’s official app for iOS devices is adequate for many users, Boxie takes interacting with the popular cloud storage service to another level. After connecting the app to your Dropbox, the fun begins. Probably my absolute favorite feature is the ability to drag-and-drop to move an item in a folder. The new app also offers contextual options to share, copy, delete, rename, move, and paste items. Actions can also be quickly undone, if desired. Along with the ability to store offline files and access them when an Internet connection isn’t available, the app uses a sharable custom URL scheme to transfer files and folders to other Boxie users. If you accidentally delete a file, Boxie allows users to see the list of deleted files in a certain folder and then restore them. The app’s image gallery is also enhanced to view animated GIFs. Boxie is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for $1.99. Developer Tapwings promised that the company is planning on making the app universal for the iPad and iPad mini. Keep a lookout for a full review of the app tomorrow.
