Major iOS 7-Inspired Tweetbot For iPhone Update Should Be Landing Soon

In an interesting blog post today, developer Tapbots gave a wide-ranging update regarding its popular apps and iOS 7. Probably most importantly, an update to Tweetbot for iPhone has been submitted to Apple. Its launch date is unknown:
We’ve just submitted Tweetbot for iPhone to the app store and are waiting for approval. We do not have a launch date yet because there are many other things that need to be in place and ready before we launch, but it will be soon. That is all that we can say at this point. We truly appreciate your patience and support on this and know that it will be worth the wait!
And since iOS 7 was first unveiled back in the summer, the company has been devoting most of its energy to that specific app:
Playing with the beta of iOS7 over the next few weeks brought us to the realization that this would not just be a “re-skin”. We really had to just start over with the new foundation and concepts of iOS7.
As far as older apps from the developer like Weightbot, Convertbot, and Calcbot, the company said it hasn’t abandoned users:
We already have many great ideas for the updates to our older apps and are just waiting for the right time to implement.
It’s unknown whether the iOS 7 Tweetbot for iPhone will be a totally new app that users need to purchase again or if it will simply be an update to the current version. Tweetbot for iPhone can be downloaded now in the App Store for $2.99. A separate iPad version is also $2.99. The iOS 7 version of Tweetbot for iPhone is easily one of the most anticipated apps here at AppAdvice. We’ll keep you up to date if we find out any more information.
