Skylanders Battlegrounds Gains Swap Force Characters, New Chapter And More

A week ago, Skylanders Lost Islands was updated with a number of enhancements, most notably including the arrival of Skylanders Swap Force characters. Now, it's Skylanders Battlegrounds' turn to feel the Swap Force. Released by Activision in November last year, Skylanders Battlegrounds is an action-adventure game that lets you play with two Skylanders at the same time and engage in battle against Kaos and his warlords. And now, you can charge into battle with the power-swapping Swap Force:

Embark on an exciting new adventure with the Skylanders and the SWAP Force. For generations, the SWAP Force protected the volcano that replenishes Skylands magic. That is until an epic battle caught them in an eruption that blasted them apart, sent them to Earth and gave them the ability to swap powers. Only you can mix and match their tops and bottoms, put them on the new Portal of Power and help save Skylands!

The latest update to Skylanders Battlegrounds also introduces Chapter 3, in which you have to defeat the maniacal mage Vengar and thwart his evil plans. In addition, it brings support for cloud save so you can play across all of your devices. It also lets you share Skylanders toys between Skylanders Lost Islands and Skylanders Cloud Patrol. Also including a new pirate arena, the new version of Skylanders Battlegrounds is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $6.99 download.
