Jungle Rumble For iOS Promises iDevice Owners A Genre Mash-Up

The popular TV show, "Glee," has introduced the world to a number of funky fresh mash-ups. One new iOS application promises to provide iDevice owners with another, combining the endless running genre with a classic shooter experience. The app, called Jungle Runner, is set to reach the U.S. App Store in the near future, having already soft-launched in Denmark and Switzerland. In the game, iDevice owners are charged with helping the application's protagonist, Hunky Hank, find food. "Pigs, birds, fish; the jungle is an all you can eat buffet," developer Kael Laza explains. As such, besides running through the jungle in search of food, Hunky Hank can equip a number of different jungle-themed weapons in order to combat the enemies he encounters. This looks to add an interesting dimension to the game, expanding on the kind of gameplay offered by the likes of Temple Run 2, Ski Safari, and other endless runner titles. Kael Lazan continues:
Jungle Rumble offers a brand new gaming experience. Equip your weapon and get ready to hunt! Explore the Jungle, avoid traps that block your way, aim and shoot the best you can. The more precise you are, the more meat you will be able to gather.
Features of Jungle Rumble include:
  • Explore a world full of danger ... and good meat
  • Colorful and cartoonish graphics
  • Spectacular boss fights
  • Tons of weapons and power-ups
  • Challenge and help your friends
Below, we've included a trailer video of the application. As mentioned, Jungle Rumble can be downloaded free of charge in the Denmark and Switzerland App Stores, and the app is expected to launch in the United States soon. We'll keep you updated with further information as we receive it.
