Lions Gate And Reliance Team Up For 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Mobile Game

Last year, Lions Gate collaborated with several mobile game developers to release a couple of official iOS tie-in games for “The Hunger Games": the endless runner Hunger Games: Girl on Fire and the role-playing game The Hunger Games Adventures. Now, the entertainment company has teamed up with Reliance Games, the studio behind the official tie-in mobiles games of “Real Steel” and “Pacific Rim,” to release The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Panem Run. As its name suggests, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Panem Run is based on the film sequel "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." The upcoming movie has Jennifer Lawrence reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen, who lives in the dystopian autocratic nation of Panem. According to Lions Gate and Reliance Games:
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – Panem Run mobile game puts the movie’s action in the palms of players’ hands. The game will employ both competitive and social elements, allowing players to challenge fellow Hunger Games fans to see who can bring glory to their District, achieve the greatest distance, and attain the highest score.
Considering the last word in its name and judging by its poster (shown above), The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Panem Run is going to be a Temple Run-like behind-the-back endless running game. No definite release date has been announced for the game. But The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Panem Run is said to become available on iOS later this month, likely on or before the movie's opening day, which is slated for Nov. 22.
