Spotify Now Lets You Easily Browse For Curated Playlists On iPad As Well As iPhone

November 29, 2013
The official iOS app of Spotify has just received another major update. First and foremost, the latest update to Spotify for iOS brings Browse to iPad. Introduced to the app's iPhone edition early last September, this feature lets you easily browse for music for every moment or every mood. It offers curated playlists and also showcases what's hot and what's new. In fact, Browse replaces What's New in the app. The new update also brings the following enhancements, which are "soon available to all iPhone users":
  • New: Follow friends and artists to see their playlists and releases
  • Improved: Smarter, more responsive searching
  • Improved: A shiny new look for playlists
The new version of Spotify for iOS also features a more streamlined signup and login experience for both iPhone and iPad. And for iPhone, it adds the previously iPad-only secret/public toggle for playlists and fixes a bug that causes issues when sharing via Twitter, email, or text. The new version of Spotify for iOS is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later. The app's previous update arrived earlier this month, bringing with it support for touring details sourced from Songkick along with other enhancements. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
