Foursquare Update Offers More iOS 7 Inspired Design Tweaks, Other New Features

December 5, 2013
Foursquare has just made the move up to "lucky" version 7.0. The update is definitely highlighted by more design tweaks inspired by iOS 7. Version 6.3, released in September, started the UI overhaul. But the newest edition looks nice and easily blends into Apple’s newest iOS. And the app also boasts a better idea of where you’re located. Even if Foursquare isn’t open, it will notify users of appropriate information, like a money-saving special, when they arrive somewhere new. To help show more of what’s near a location, the app now shuffles its information every time it is open so users can browse tips, offers, and check the feed to see where friends are hanging out. Designed for the iPhone, Foursquare can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. The last major update to the app arrived in October. Version 6.4 ushered in real-time recommendations and a new “Nearby” button to show who is located nearby.
