Fruit Ninja Creator Halfbrick Launches Band Stars To International iOS Stardom

December 5, 2013
As expected, Halfbrick Studios, the creator of Fruit Ninja and several other popular iOS games, has just officially released Band Stars in the App Store. Launched by Halfbrick in partnership with developer Six Foot Kid, Band Stars is the iOS revival of the original game of the same name. The original Band Stars game debuted on Chrome and Google+ Games last year, but it was retired after Google+ Games went offline late last June. But as folks in the entertainment industry like to say, the show must go on. And the show has certainly gone on in the case of Band Stars, which has just been launched internationally following its soft launch in the Australian and Canadian App Stores. As its trailer below suggests, Band Stars is a freemium simulation game that challenges you to form a band, hit the studio, and start recording to reach the top of the charts. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The game invites you to:
  • Compete with your friends for the highest chart position and the most fans
  • Blend different genres and lyrical styles to create chart topping hits
  • Pull off insane solos to boost your song points
  • Hire and train your band members
  • Unlock all 50 band members, each with their own style and set of custom challenges
  • Earn piles of coin and upgrade your gear to dominate the world of music
  • Deck out your studio with hot tubs and arcade machines to keep your musicians happy
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Band Stars is available now in the App Store for free. Let the battle of the bands begin! [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
