In keeping with the holiday season’s spirit of sharing, Flipboard has just been updated with a new feature that makes it easier to share stories with your friends:
Do you ever find something on Flipboard that you want to pass along? Now it’s easy to share the stories you enjoy with other people within the app—give the gift of awesome reading this season.
Thanks to the latest update to Flipboard, you can now send stories to your friends right within the app and have your friends be notified also right within the app to see what you’ve shared with them.
To get started, just tap the share button on a story and select the email icon. Start entering the names of friends you’d like to share the story with and select the autocomplete suggestions based on Flipboard usernames and your device’s address book. Your friends are then duly notified right within Flipboard as well as via email.
Also, you are automatically notified whenever someone shares a story with you on Flipboard. In addition, you can go to the Notification section in the app and tap “View all shared with you” to flip through a magazine containing all of the articles your friends have sent you. Alternatively, you can subscribe to this magazine to add it to your favorite tiles and Cover Stories.
