Got a new iPad mini with Retina display? Consider equipping it with one of KNOMO’s brand new cases for the second-generation 7.9-inch tablet. The London-based company is offering a selection of colored leather folios for £49.00 (around $80, plus shipping), all of which can be purchased from KNOMO’s online store.

You’ll remember that recently, we were able to go hands-on with KNOMO’s iPad Air Premium Folio, and as we concluded in our review: “KNOMO’s Premium Folio is a superb iPad Air case, and we’re sure users won’t regret their decision to purchase the product.” As such, it’s great to hear that the folks at KNOMO have a similar product ready to ship for Apple’s smaller tablet.

Promising “a luxurious way of protecting your iPad,” features of the iPad mini Reina Folio include:

  • Leather case can be used to protect your iPad Mini Retina on the move, positioned upright for viewing movies & raised for typing.
  • Fully protective case with Sleep/wake magnetic closure on flap.
  • Soft microfiber lining with secure tuck-in tab to keep your iPad safe.
  • Form-fitted rubberised case.
  • Easy access to headphone jack/speaker.
  • Easy access to lightening connector point.
  • Fits iPad Mini Retina
  • Includes a 2 year warranty against manufacturing fault.

There are a total of four different colors available online – blue, scarlet, brown, and black – and the iPad mini Retina Folio also supports KNOMO’s useful “MyKnomo” service.

As you may remember, the service provides unique identifiers stiched into the inner cover of certain KNOMO products (such as its iPad Air Premium Folio) and customers are advised to link their MyKnomo ID with their contact details. It’s hoped that the servie could help return a lost iDevice to its owner.

If you’re interested, more information can be found online at KNOMO’s website, and as mentioned, the iPad mini Retina Folio can be purchased for £49.00 (around $80 plus, shipping).

In the last few months, we’ve been able to publish a number of iDevice case reviews, including a recent review of Logitech’s FabricSkin Keyboard Folio, a video review of the updated iPad mini Smart Case, and a closer look at TwelveSouth’s BookBook Travel Journal.
