M7-Powered Nike+ Move App Gains 'Where You Moved' And Leaderboard Improvements

Nike+ Move has just received its first ever update. Introduced at Apple's iPhone 5s event last September, Nike+ Move is Nike's motivational fitness app that works with the M7 motion coprocessor on the iPhone 5s in order to offer insights on when you move, how you move, and where you move. As mentioned, Nike+ Move has just been issued its first ever update. And this update brings improvements to the app's Where You Moved and leaderboard sections. Specifically, the update enhances the Where You Moved screen so that it now displays more accurate bits of information for some scenarios. And for the leaderboards, the update delivers the following improvements:
  • You can now choose to join regional leaderboards individually per region.
  • You can see inactive friends and encourage them to get moving.
  • Better behavior when retrieving leaderboard scores.
  • Updated icon for adding friends
Also including bug fixes, the new version of Nike+ Move is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later. Nike+ Move was released early last month alongside version 2.0 of the official Nike+ FuelBand iOS app. Nike+ FuelBand was updated to version 2.1 just yesterday with support for sleep tracking, session calibration, and easier cheering of friends.
