PDF Expert 5 Brings A New Look, AirDrop Support And More

December 3, 2013
Popular developer Readdle has just introduced a perfect app for anyone who interacts with PDF documents on an iPad. With PDF Expert 5, users can do powerful tasks, like signing and merging PDFs, right along with simply filing out a form. Offering a clean and flat design that mirrors iOS 7, the app does a nice job of making all of the needed tools just a tap away. Users should also like the drag and drop function for files and folders. Favorite documents can even be placed on a sidebar for quick access, and documents can also be sorted with color tags. In the new PDF viewer, a fullscreen annotation mode allows users to hide the interface on the screen with the exception of one toolbar. With the text-to-speech option, PDF Expert 5 processes PDF books and uses the iOS 7 API to read them out loud. Finally, with Review Mode, users can mark up PDF documents in an interesting way. Tapping anywhere on the document where changes are needed allows for corrections in the text editor. Deleted text is marked as removed, while anything added to the document is shown as new text in different colors. A nicely designed File Manager also highlights the app. Integrating with Dropbox, Google Drive, and iCloud, it can support pretty much any file type imaginable. Designed only for the iPad/iPad mini, PDF Expert 5 can be downloaded in the App Store now for $9.99.
