Yahoo Screen Updated With Channel Personalization, Search Autocomplete And More

Yahoo has just updated its free Yahoo Screen video-streaming app with several significant new features. Yahoo Screen lets you watch a variety of clips, mostly from popular comedy shows and personalities. These include the best of “Saturday Night Live,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “The Colbert Report,” The Onion, and Yahoo Originals featuring the likes of Jack Black, Ed Helms, Cheryl Hines, and Rachael Harris. In addition to comedy clips, Yahoo Screen offers streaming of the best in news, sports, food, and entertainment. Released last September, Yahoo Screen received its first major update in October, thereby gaining AirPlay capability and push notification support.   • Personalize Your Channels! Press "+" to add to or re-order the channels that appear in your channel list on the main screen
  • Introducing My Saves: Tap and hold any video to save it to your own custom channel for later viewing
  • Search Suggestions: Auto-complete search suggestions make it easier to find what you're looking for
Also including general performance improvements and bug fixes, the new version of Yahoo Screen is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later. Earlier today, Yahoo updated Yahoo Weather with native iPad compatibility and sharing support.
