You Can Count On This: Counters• App Gains New Features And Improvements
The clean and colorful tally-counting app Counters• has just received an update that, perhaps like your stocking come Christmas morning, is filled with good stuff. First off, the new Counters• update bears a gift to international users in the form of the app's new icon-based navigation buttons. "We’ve got a lot of international users," notes developer Addo Label, "and while we hope to do localizations in the future, the clean and clear icons should be easy for anyone to understand, regardless of preferred language!" The update also adds a new feature for sharing counter screenshots via Twitter, Facebook, Messages, and Mail. This includes the ability to save screenshots to camera roll, copy them to clipboard, or print them via AirPrint. And as a rather fun bonus, the new version of Counters• features randomly assigned names (including Countacular, La Counter, and Counter That Could) for counters with no custom names. According to Addo Label, this page will be expanded with app configuration toggles in an upcoming update. The new version of Counters• also respects changes to iOS' time zone and features various design improvements including ...
... new app logotype in the navigation, translucency for navigation, centering text in counter detail view, using a consistent style for custom icons everywhere, highlight state when tapping on counters in list view, increasing the tap area for buttons in New/Edit Counter modal view, consistency of text capitalization across the app, updated splash screen, and much more! The new version of Counters• is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later. For more information on Counters•, read our original review of the app here on AppAdvice, which suggests, "If you’re looking for a quick-and-easy app for incremental counting (for multiple items at once) that is beautiful and well-designed, then look no further than Counters•."
