New Path Update Lets You Clear Private Messages And Auto-Post To WordPress

January 7, 2014
The "personal" social networking app Path has just received a new update for the new year. "Leading up to the new year we listened carefully to the Path community," the Path team notes, "and we are happy to release the #1 most requested feature." And this feature is none other than the ability to clear private messages. Now, you can clear your own copy of any messaging thread, thereby enhancing your message privacy. To do so, just swipe left or right on the thread you wish to delete in the Messages list. The latest update to Path also adds the ability to automatically post to WordPress, enabling you to share thoughts, photos, and more from Path to your WordPress site with just a tap of a button. That button is located next to the buttons for the already existing auto-post services: Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, and Tumblr. On first use, the new Wordpress button requires you to sign in to WordPress.com to authorize Path with your Jetpack or WordPress.com site. Also including speed improvements, performance enhancements, and bug fixes, the new version of Path is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later. Note that Path is not yet entirely optimized for iOS 7, using as it still does, for example, the standard iOS 6 keyboard — which is odd, seeing as Path was apparently one of the high-profile "iOS 7-ready" apps featured by Apple at its iPhone event last September. Path's previous major update arrived shortly after that event. It introduced a premium subscription tier along with private sharing and other enhancements. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
