Photo Geotag Removal App DeGeo Updated With New Sharing Options And More

January 7, 2014
DeGeo, the app made for "de-geo-fying" photos, has just been updated to version 2.1 with several new features. DeGeo is a simple photo-sharing app that removes the geotags from your photos before posting them online or exporting them to other apps. Essentially, it lets you easily share photos without giving away your personal location details. Released in January 2011, DeGeo was updated to version 2.0 last December with support for bulk geotag removal, geotag viewing, additional sharing services, photo mood matching, and other features. Now, the app has been updated to version 2.1 with more enhancements. First off, DeGeo now supports the "Open In..." inter-app sharing protocol, enabling you to open a photo in any other image-based app. Also, it now includes a settings option to open DeGeo with the last photo taken or the photo picker. In line with this, the following URL schemes are now supported: degeo-lastphoto:// and degeo-picker://. The former opens the app with the last photo taken, while the latter with the photo picker. DeGeo 2.1 also includes the following sharing improvements:
  • New Google+ integration
  • Improved Instagram icon
  • Corrected issue with Instagram sharing on iPad
  • Fixes an issue with saving to Dropbox
  • Print image is now in the More options list of the sharing menu
DeGeo 2.1 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. It's compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
