Tired Of Plants Vs. Zombies? Get Tougher And Rougher With Trolls Vs. Vikings

January 26, 2014
If you think playing Plants vs. Zombies on your iOS device is so 2010, then make sure to check out Trolls vs. Vikings as soon as it invades iOS next month. As noted by Gamezebo, Trolls vs. Vikings, which is developed by Megapop, draws inspiration from Plants vs. Zombies, which is developed by PopCap. Of course, Megapop acknowledges the resemblance, but points out some key differences:
With Trolls vs. Vikings, Megapop has delivered a super tight tower defense experience, with astounding depth of play for a mobile game, all wrapped within a lush and wacky game world. Although a tribute to a certain Plants game, it has sought to re-innovate the beloved formula, adding a range of fresh and unique features. This includes more engagement through movable and active units, a dynamic tiles system, social features, and epic boss fights with the Nordic gods themselves such as Thor, Odin and Loki.

Offering over 30 hours of gameplay, Trolls vs. Vikings also promises new ways to play, including new tactics and challenges, as players progress through the game's different difficulty modes. The game also notably features an epic score by Aleksander Dimitrevic, which has previously composed trailer music for a number of Hollywood films, including "Harry Potter," "The Chronicles of Narnia," "X-Men," "The Pirates of the Caribbean," "Wall-E," and "The Simpsons Movie." Trolls vs. Vikings is scheduled to be released as a free-to-play game for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on Feb. 26.
