AccuWeather For iPhone Goes 7.0 With New iOS 7 Design And New Enhancements

AccuWeather, the official iPhone app of the popular "superior accuracy" weather forecasting service of the same name, has just been updated to version 7.0. Coincidentally, AccuWeather 7.0 brings about a complete redesign that is in line with the flat and simple visual style of iOS 7 - a significant improvement over AccuWeather's outdated and often cluttered interface. In addition to its iOS 7 redesign, AccuWeather 7.0 adds a number of enhancements, most notably including a new featured called MinuteCast. MinuteCast offers minute-by-minute weather forecast for the next two hours hyper-localized to your exact street address. With it, you can view the precipitation type and intensity as well as the start and end times for that precipitation. There's also the new 72-hour forecast, plus six hours of historical hourly content. And then there's the added ability to customize the details of your current weather conditions and hide the details that you don't care about. AccuWeather 7.0 also includes the following improvements:

Immersive weather condition animations

Consistent tappable color to highlight interactive elements

Now offering radar in Canada, Europe, and Japan

Robust content caching for offline use

Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, AccuWeather 7.0 is available now in the App Store for free, with a $2.99 in-app purchase for removing ads. The ad-free, $2.99 AccuWeather Platinum app has also been updated to version 7.0. AccuWeather Platinum is featured in AppAdvice's Best iPhone Weather Apps AppGuide.
