Rock On: GuitarBots Goes Universal, Gains Song Importing And Video Recording
GuitarBots for iOS has just received its first ever update, thereby gaining universal support and a handful of other improvements.
GuitarBots is the official iOS app the online game of the same name that makes guitar learning and practice more fun and motivating. If you're into guitar playing, whether as a beginner or as a professional, you can take on the app's many challenges in order to familiarize yourself with chords, notes, melodies, rhythms, and even actual songs.
What's particularly great about GuitarBots is that it doesn't require any extra equipment or setup. It works right out of the box with any real guitar (acoustic or electric) and it uses your iOS device's microphone to listen to and analyze the notes and chords that you play.
GuitarBots was released in the App Store last December, but only as an app that's compatible with iPad and iPad mini. Well, with its first ever update, not anymore it's not. That's because, as mentioned, GuitarBots has gained universal support, making it compatible with iPhone and iPod touch as well.
Additionally, GuitarBots' universal update adds support for importing songs as GuitarPro files and for recording and sharing your performances on video. It also delivers some minor bug fixes.
In-app purchases are offered for pick refills to increase playtime and for premium subscriptions to unlock new content and the ability to upload songs as GuitarPro files.
