Checkmark 2 To Offer Better Location-Based Reminders Starting Next Week

March 15, 2014
Lists. Check. Location groups. Check. Syncing via iCloud. Check. These are just a few of the new features in Checkmark 2, which is set to make its debut just a few days from now. Checkmark 2 is, as its name indicates, the follow-up to the popular iPhone to-do app Checkmark, which was released by Snowman in July 2012. In her review of the original app, my colleague Christine notes, "Checkmark packs many useful features, and I don’t believe that any other app has done location-based reminders as well as Checkmark has." Well, now Checkmark 2 is poised to do location-based reminders even better. Check out the amusing video below for a preview of the new features introduced by Snowman in Checkmark 2: If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. As shown in the video, Checkmark 2 boasts an all-new design inspired, of course, by the clean, simple, and flat style of iOS 7. But more importantly, it comes with some useful enhancements, including a new lists feature, location groups, and flexible recurring reminders. Checkmark 2 also features one-tap rescheduling, date-specific location-based reminders, iCloud sync, and more. We'll give you the complete lowdown on the upcoming app in our full review, to be published shortly after the app's release. Checkmark 2 is scheduled to come out in the App Store on Tuesday, March 18. According to Snowman, it will be available for "a special introductory price." The original Checkmark remains available in the App Store for $9.99.
