Go On A Physics-Based Microscopic Adventure In Microtrip For iPhone

March 8, 2014

Microtrip, a recent addition to the App Store, sends iOS gamers off on a curious journey based “inside the body of a strange creature,” according to its developer. You can pick up the app for just $0.99 for a limited time only, and it’s optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Promising users a “soft-body physics game” and procedural generated levels (which make the application different and more challenging with each round), Microtrip also includes two different control schemes – touch or tilt – and bonus levels.

It’s created by Arthur Guibert, who explains in the app’s release notes:

The goal is simple: go as deep as possible. For completing such a task you need to dodge the monsters as well as eating the white cells that are keeping you alive. The game is punctuated by special pills that give the blob a weird yet amazing power. How far can you go?

The app’s $0.99 price is 50 percent off, and we’re not sure how long this limited-time offer is going to be available for. To recap, here’s a complete list of features available in the application:

  • Realistic soft-body physics
  • Smooth graphics at 60fps
  • Two control schemes: tilt or touch
  • Awesome super bonus pills
  • Procedurally generated levels

We’ve included a handful of screenshots taken from Microtrip below, too.

If you’re on the hunt for a new iOS game, Microtrip looks like it’s worth checking out. As mentioned, you can pick up the game for $0.99 on the App Store, and it’s optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Then earlier today, we told you about another impressive app sale from the folks at Crescent Moon Games. The developer has a bigger selection of titles available free of charge or from as little as $0.99, including:
