Google+ Update Arrives With New Location Reporting And History Settings

March 7, 2014
The official app for the Google+ social network has just been updated with the addition of three new features. First up, version 4.6.2 allows users to explore specific topics directly from the What’s Hot stream in the app. Users can also adjust location reporting and history settings from the app instead of the site. Finally, along with additional bug fixes and performance improvements, community moderators can pin posts to the top of a community stream to make it easier to see. A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Google+ can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. Before today’s update, the last major revision to the social networking app arrived back in November. Version 4.6.0 brought full-resolution automatic backup of photos and videos, a new Locations view, an inline translation of posts and comments, and a revamped notification tray.
