Twitter And Blogger Cofounder's Medium Unveils First Mobile App On iOS

March 21, 2014
As reported last week, Medium has released its official iOS app in the App Store. Indeed, the emergent and divergent blogging platform launched by Twitter and Blogger cofounder Ev Williams in 2012 now has its very first mobile app on iOS. But as previously pointed out, the app initially supports reading content posted on Medium only, without the ability to publish content to Medium. We'll have a full review of Medium later here on AppAdvice. In the meantime, here's what you can expect from the newly released app from the platform focused on long-form writing about “ideas” and “stories”:
  • A beautiful, dynamic interface guides you through thousands of stories from a refreshingly divergent sampling of writers, from world-famous authors to first-time, first-hand contributors.
  • Stories are grouped into collections based on common themes, such as “This Happened To Me,” “Better Humans,” and “We Live In The Future.”
  • Sign in with your Twitter account, then swipe through your personalized Reading List, custom-tailored to your interests based on past reading, recommendations, and favorite authors.
  • Bookmark, recommend, and share your favorite stories.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, Medium is available now in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
