Badland Gets A Big Update Adding New Try-Before-You-Buy Content

April 25, 2014

Badland, the popular one-tap game for iOS, has received a nice update adding a brand new level pack called “Doomsday.” Best of all, however, users get the chance to try the new content before committing to a purchase, meaning iOS gamers can enjoy a small selection of Badland’s new content entirely free of charge.

You can pick up the updated Badland (version 2.0) on the App Store now, and besides a couple of minor bug fixes, changes concern the new Doomsday level pack. Included in this pack are 30 brand new missions and four new achievements; as mentioned, users can also download and try a handful of the new missions free of charge, as developer Frogmind explains in the app’s release notes:

  • 30 new missions
  • 4 new achievements
  • Try the first three levels for free
  • Warning: These levels are VERY challenging!

If you do choose to access all of the new content, however, it’ll set you back a $0.99 in-app purchase.

As a reminder, the award-winning title received a Valentine’s Day update back in February adding a cooperative multiplayer level and iOS 7 controller support. Before this, Badland went half-price in memory of its one-tap comrade Flappy Bird, and the game’s Day II chapter was brought to an epic conclusion in November.

Badland is presently available on the App Store for $3.99, and it’s optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It’s a popular game that’s now better than ever thanks to its most recent update.
