Goldee For Philips Hue Update Brings Two New Lighting Scenes

April 18, 2014
Powerful third-party controller app for the Philips Hue lightning system, Goldee, has just been updated to version 2.0. Easily the biggest improvement in the update is multitasking. Users can now run dynamic lighting scenes in the background while doing other work on their iOS device. Lighting fans can now also control their light with the app from multiple devices on the same Wi-Fi connection. And along with an intelligent switch that closes the app automatically when the lights are turned off manually, a new button can turn off all the lights with a single tap. Finally, the app adds two more beautiful dynamic lighting scenes – Volcano Flow and Misty Secret. Designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Goldee for Philips hue can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. The app originally arrived late last year. If you’re a Hue owner, I highly recommend trying out Goldee – it’s my preferred way to play around with the system. A starter kit, which includes three lightbulbs and a bridge, can be purchased for $199.95 at Apple’s online store or a number of other retailers.
