Logitech Introduces A New Ultrathin Keyboard Cover For The iPad Air And iPad mini

April 22, 2014
Logitech’s smallest keyboard option for the iPad is getting even better. The company announced today the new Ultrathin for the iPad Air and both generations of iPad mini. Along with an even thinner and lighter keyboard, the standout feature of the new device looks to be the multi-angle slot that allows users to select from a number of angles for their iPad. Here’s a quick promo video about the case. Click here if you can’t see it. Measuring in at only 6.4mm thick and weighing in at less than a pound, the keyboard case offers a number of iOS specific shortcuts. The iPad Air version will retail for $99.99 while the case for the smaller tablet is $89.99. Both can be preordered now directly from Logitech’s site. Buyers can select from a black or silver case. And if you’re not interested in using a keyboard with your iPad, Logitech also announced three other case choices for the tablets – the Big Bang, Hinge, and Turnaround. Combining features from rugged and slim folio cases, the Big Bang offers shock-absorbent materials to protect an iPad from drops, bumps, and scratches. The case, which is just 16mm thick, also repels liquid with a wipeable material. The iPad Air case is $99.99, and the iPad mini edition is $20 cheaper. Both are available to preorder. Allowing tablet users to quickly rotate their iPad from portrait to landscape mode, the aptly named Turnaround is a full-folio case and provides complete access to the camera, microphone, and charger. Offering a 50-degree viewing range, the Hinge’s smooth-gliding mechanism holds the iPad firmly in place. Both the iPad Air editions of the Hinge and Turnaround will cost $59.99 while the cases for the smaller tablets are $49.99.
