Movies By Flixster Updated With Chromecast Support

April 14, 2014
With the summer blockbuster movie season getting closer, Movies by Flixster has just been updated to version 6.11. Most importantly, the app now supports Google’s Chromecast streaming video dongle. So video lovers can stream full-length, high-definition UltraViolet digital movies from the app directly to their television screens. Searching via the iPad edition of the app has also been improved. Flixster is also promising many more search improvements in future versions. Finally, along with the usual amount of bug fixes and performance improvements, users should be able to take advantage of an improved photo browsing experience. A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Movies by Flixster can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. The last major update arrived back in October. Version 6.6 featured a new design compatible with iOS 7 and the ability to stream movies in HD. If you’re interested in a movie, the app should have what you’re looking for. Along with being able to locate showtimes of movies near you, the app features numerous trailers and reviews from Rotten Tomatoes.
