Get A Kick Out Of The New App-Enabled miCoach Smart Soccer Ball From Adidas

May 27, 2014
Just in time for World Cup soccer action this summer, Adidas has launched the miCoach Smart Ball. As you can guess, the ball is Bluetooth 4.0 compatible and contains a number of sensors for dead-ball kick training like penalties, free-kicks, shooting, corners, long passes, and goal kicks. Thanks to the companion Smart Ball app, available to download on the App Store now, the device also relays information on how hard it has been struck, offering visual flight trajectories, and depicting impact points. With that information, soccer players can alter their kicking technique and kick the ball with more power. The app also features a dedicated training section that will help users improve their skills and master advanced shot techniques. A charging dock allows for wireless charging of the ball. Retailing for $299, the miCoach can be purchased now at your local Apple store or the Apple online store.
