Inspire Pro Update Brings New Brushes, Sorcery Tweaks, Dropbox Integration And More

May 31, 2014
Inspire Pro, the acclaimed iPad drawing app developed by KiwiPixel, has drawn yet another significant update. First up, the latest update to Inspire Pro adds four new sets of brushes:
  • New Chalk brush set, available for free, includes 10 realistic blackboard and sidewalk chalk brushes with different techniques and forms
  • New Shape Outlines brush set, available for purchase, completes your collection of shape brushes with the final set of the series, perfect for drawing over imported photos or screenshots
  • New Charcoal brush set, available for purchase, is the ultimate selection of tools for sketch artists of all skill levels, allowing you to create drawings and sketches with gritty, realistic textures
  • New Patterns brush set, available for purchase, shows off the power and versatility of Inspire Pro’s Sorcery™ painting engine, creating seamless, geometric patterns that effortlessly repeat across your canvas
Speaking of Sorcery, the update also enhances KiwiPixel's "magical" proprietary painting engine with support for an additional texture called the "Surface" of a brush. Sorcery now also supports 22 paint blending modes across six categories, available for use with any brush set other than Oil Paint. In addition, the new version of Inspire Pro introduces support for Dropbox. This allows you to import any image or Inspire Pro file onto a new canvas from Dropbox and, going the other direction, export artwork as an image (PNG or JPEG), Canvas Playback video (M4V) or Inspire Pro file to Dropbox. The updated app also features integration with CanvasPop, the popular canvas printing service, enabling you to order CanvasPop prints of your artwork on canvases, posters or framed prints. The new version of Inspire Pro is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $9.99 download. The app is compatible with iPad and iPad mini running iOS 5.1 or later. Inspire Pro is featured in AppAdvice’s Drawing With Your iPad AppGuide. [gallery]
