Square Enix And Gree To Release Final Fantasy Artniks Dive In Japan This Summer

July 1, 2014
Square Enix and Gree have just announced a new game called Final Fantasy Artniks Dive. Final Fantasy Artniks Dive is a sort of spiritual sequel to Final Fantasy Artniks, a social mobile collectible card game released by the two Japanese gaming companies in Japan in 2012. The upcoming game appears to be not much of a collectible card game, though. While it still features cards, Final Fantasy Artniks Dive is going to mainly involve class battles with more than 100 monsters across various world maps. Final Fantasy Artniks Dive is scheduled to be released in Japan on iOS and Android this summer. A preregistration campaign will be launched on June 30. The campaign will reward participants with special in-game items such as the Talisman accessory, the Ice Brand sword, and the very rare Chocobo. It's unclear whether Final Fantasy Artniks Dive will eventually be released by Square Enix and Gree outside Japan, considering that Final Fantasy Artniks never was.
