Apple is offering a $25 iTunes gift card with an Apple TV purchase

Now through Sept. 30, Apple is offering a $25 iTunes Gift Card with any Apple TV purchase. Since the box normally retails for $99, the gift card basically cuts the price to $74.

You’ll need to make the purchase at an Apple retail store or Apple’s online store to receive the gift card. Along with any movies or TV shows, the card can also be used for apps, music, and books. The complete terms and conditions can be found here.

Apple was once expected to release a new Apple TV before the end of the year. That is probably no longer the case.

In July, The Information said we shouldn't expect to see a new Apple TV until 2015. According to the report, Apple is blaming cable companies for the delay.

The hardware for the Apple TV was last updated in March 2012.
