Google Slides arrives for iOS devices while Docs and Sheets both receive an update

August 25, 2014

Google has been busy updating its lineup of document editing apps for iOS devices. Along with finally introducing Slides on the App Store, both Docs and Sheets have received a nice update.

Here’s the complete list of what you can do with Slides:

* Create new presentations or edit any that were created on the web or on another device

* Share presentations and work together with others in the same presentation at the same time
* Open, edit, and save Microsoft PowerPoint files
* Get stuff done anytime — even without an internet connection

* Add and rearrange slides, format text and shapes, and more
* Present right from your device
* Never worry about losing your work — everything is automatically saved as you type

Microsoft Office users should definitely like the updates to Docs and Sheets. Docs can now open, edit, and save Word files while Sheets can do the same with Excel spreadsheets.

All three apps – Slides, Docs, and Sheets – are universal and designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. They can be downloaded now for free on the App Store.
