New site will tell you when an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus is in stock at your Apple Store

September 23, 2014

As you probably know, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are a little hard to come by. After officially hitting the market on Friday, Apple sold a combined 10 million handsets in the first three days of availability.

If you’re in the market to purchase either model, an interesting new site - 6tracker.com - can make the process a little easier. The tracker scrapes Apple’s own site, and will let you know when your selected handset is in stock and available for Personal Pickup at any of the three nearest Apple Stores to your zip code.

After selecting how you’d like to be notified, either by text or email, you’ll need to select what model to track and enter your zip code. That’s all you’ll need to do. And that’s sure better than trying to navigate Apple’s site.

The service is completely free, but if you do want to show some gratitude to the owners, you can donate Bitcoin or money via PayPal.

Both iPhones are currently on sale in the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. Starting this Friday, Sept. 26, the models will arrive in another 20 countries.

Apple announced that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in 115 countries before the end of 2014.
