Say hello to the new real-life concierge and wine guide features in Hello Vino 4.0
I’d like to propose a toast in honor of the new version of Hello Vino, the popular wine assistant app developed by Drive Thru Interactive.
Launched back in June 2009 for iPhone and iPod touch, Hello Vino was updated to version 3.0 in September last year with universal support for iPad and a bunch of other enhancements.
Now, the app has been updated to version 4.0 with further improvements to its already impressive feature set, which includes personalized recommendations, wine label scanning, and a wine notebook for tracking purchases and building wish lists.
What’s more, Hello Vino 4.0 introduces a couple of sparkling new features.
First off, there’s the app’s new real-life concierge feature. Powered by VinoPro, it’s a free service that lets you speak to a live person to help you with your wine purchases.

“It’s like having your very own wine expert on call,” Drive Thru Interactive notes. “We have a team of wine-educated assistants based in California wine country, ready to help you find the perfect bottle.”
The new version of Hello Vino also features a wine guide feature that provides a comprehensive listing of varieties of wine with audio pronunciations and food pairing suggestions. And by popular demand, getting food pairings and recipes (powered by Yummly) now works in reverse based on the wine you already have.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, Hello Vino 4.0 is available now on the App Store for free, with in-app purchases offered for additional features and optional upgrades.
