September 19, 2014

Happy iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch day! If you were lucky enough to preorder or stand in line to snag one of the new handsets, take a look at last week’s roundup featuring many other cases you can order now. This week, we’re focusing on even more protection options for the iPhones. As always, keep with us each Friday as we will continue to highlight some of the newest cases and other new accessories.

Apple

If you need a case quickly, Apple’s official options for both new handsets seem to be the way to go. They should be available to purchase at your local Apple Store – if you’re willing to battle the huge crowds today.

Leather Case: Made with premium leather, the pictured case attaches snugly to an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. A soft microfiber lining on the inside helps protect the back of the handset. It’s available for both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in one of five color choices – black, red, blue, brown, and pink. The iPhone 6 version is $45 while the iPhone 6 Plus version is $5 more.

Silicone Case: If leather isn’t for you, Apple also has a silicone version of its case for the new iPhones. Buyers can select from one of six colors – black, white, pink, blue, green, and (PRODUCT)RED. The iPhone 6 version is $35 while the version for the larger handset is $4 more.

Incipio

Incipio also looks to be another good bet to get a case soon, especially for the iPhone 6.

Dualpro: Available for both iPhone models, the Dualpro offers two layers of protection – a hard exterior shell and a softer inner core. The case is $29.99 and available in six different color combinations. The iPhone 6 version can be ordered now while the iPhone 6 Plus case is on preorder. It’s expected to ship in one week.

NGP: Just for the iPhone 6 Plus, the slim NGP is made with stretch and tear resistant soft material. It’s also easy to hold. Five colors – blue, red, green, clear, and pink – are available to order now. The case costs $19.99.

Watson: For the iPhone 6, the pictured Watson folio is highlighted by its removable, snap on shell and leather cover. The folio itself has three card slots to hold cash or credit cards. It will set you back $44.99. It can be preordered now and is expected to ship in a week. There are four different color combinations to select from.

The handset is protected by four separate layers, including a built-in screen protector. All buttons and ports are covered or protected with hinged plugs. An included belt clip can attach the phone to a belt or strap. The iPhone 6 version is $49.99 while the iPhone 6 Plus case costs $10 more. There are a number of color combinations to select from.

Survivor Core: Offering a nice amount of protection in a sleeker form factor, the Survivor Slim is made with flexible rubber. The one-piece snap on shell should protect a handset from drops of up to 6 feet. The case is $29.99 for both the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6. Available in black or purple, it can be ordered now.
