Tweetbot for iPhone updated with support for viewing Twitter Videos and more
The best third-party Twitter client on the App Store, Tweetbot 3, has just received a nice update.
Most importantly in version 3.5.2, users can now view videos recorded and shared through the social network’s official iOS app. Users should also notice better support for viewing Twitter GIFs.
In the release notes, developer Tapbots is promising “some exciting updates coming over the next few months.” We can’t wait.
Tweetbot 3 is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for $4.99.
If you’re looking for something other than Twitter’s official app, Tweetbot should be your one and only other choice. Earlier this month, Tapbots also teased a major redesign of Tweetbot for Mac. The upcoming update is made to better fit in with OS X Yosemite thanks to a simpler and flatter design.
A redesigned version of the iPad/iPad mini version of Tweetbot is still missing in action.
And just last Thursday, Calcbot 2.0 landed on the App Store. The app was completely redesigned from the ground up and looks great in iOS 8, even on the sizable iPhone 6 Plus screen. That app is universal and can be downloaded now for free. A $1.99 in-app purchase unlocks a number of other features.
