It’s getting even easier for photographers to create that perfect image for Instagram. The wildly popular photo sharing social network just announced that it is adding two more creative tools to its official iPhone app – Color and Fade.

Color can be used to tint the highlights or shadows in a photo. Users can select from a number of different colors – yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, cyan or green – to add flair to an image.

As the name suggests, the Fade tools allow photographers to bring a softer tone to their images.

The tools will arrive in an update to the iPhone app, which will “be available in a few days,” according to an Instagram blog post.

Back in December, Instagram added five more tools to the app – Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Aden, and Perpetua.

Instagram is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.

We’ll let you know when the update arrives. There’s a good chance that the new version of the app will also contain the Apple Watch app, which was shown off last month during Apple’s special media event. You can see how Instagram will work on the watch at our sister site WatchAware.
