Trust your instincts in the unique challenge of Blindfolded

It’s said that when you lose one of your senses, the others get enhanced. Puzzle games typically rely on sight to navigate the course or complete the level, but one app developer has decided to put a new twist on the challenge. In Blindfolded, you have to trust your instincts and memory to make your way through 60 levels without the aid of your vision.

The game shows you the mazes until you put your finger on the screen, and then all of the walls disappear. You must rely on your memory and your instincts to navigate one ball through the course to the end of the maze. If you successfully complete the maze, you can move on to the next, more challenging level. If you hit a wall, though, you have to start all over again.

Blindfolded is definitely unique on the App Store, and is a real challenge. The graphics are simple but effective, and the sound effects are understated. There is no background music to distract you, and the sound effects stay out of your way as you try to remember the course you need to take to complete the level. With 60 levels, the game has quite a bit of replay value, providing you with hours of challenge and entertainment as you learn what it’s like to navigate a maze blindfolded. See the video below for a preview of the game action. If you can’t see the video, just click this link.

Blindfolded is available for $0.99 on the App Store. It requires iOS 6.0 or later, and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It includes Game Center support for tracking your progress through the levels.
