Real Fireworks Artwork Visualizer ($0.99 → Free, 4.2 MB): Put on your own fireworks show with this entertainment app. It’s for anyone interested in putting on an Independence Day fireworks show.

Tap all over the screen to set off colorful explosions, or change a variety of parameters and allow the app to perform the show all on its own. You’re also able to choose from seven different modes, including one that allows you to draw your own images. The app includes multitouch controls, five color options, the ability to capture and share your works of art, and TV-out support.

Real Fireworks Artwork Visualizer is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 118 ratings.

Gloomlogue ($0.99 → Free, 17.7 MB): Add a little gloom to your photos with this powerful effects app. It’s for anyone who wants to give their photos a more moody, film-inspired look.

It requires very little effort to transform your photos into illustrated gloom paintings. Just choose a photo from your library or take a new one from within the app. Then drag the gloom slider to adjust the intensity of the effect. After that, you can take your photos to a whole new level by applying filters, text, borders, and distortions. Your creations can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, AirDrop, or email.

Gloomlogue is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 1881 ratings.

Universal:

NC – Twitter Widget for Notification Center ($1.99 → Free, 34.2 MB): View your Twitter timeline and mentions within Notification Center with NC. It’s for social media addicts who can’t live without checking Twitter every few minutes.

Just launch NC and sign into your Twitter account. Then swipe down to bring up Notification Center and scroll all of the way down to the bottom to find the “Edit” button. Add the new NC widget to Notification Center with a tap, and you’ll immediately see the last five tweets in your Twitter timeline. You’re able to favorite and retweet tweets right from Notification Center as well. NC also offers the ability to display mentions instead of your timeline.

OLO is multiplayer gaming perfection thanks to its slick graphics and silky smooth gameplay. Your goal is to get as many of your own OLOs as possible into the target zone on the opposite side of the screen by sliding them into place. If you miss the target zone, your opponent is able to use your OLO as their own. You can also strategically bounce your own or your opponent’s already used OLOs into and through target zones. The game includes local two- and four-player multiplayer options, online multiplayer, voice chat, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center.

Unlike similar apps, xSky really focuses on the view. The interface is clutter-free, sporting only three small icons: search, lock, and settings. You’re able to look around the sky just by holding your iDevice up and rotating. When something catches your eye, lock the screen and pinch to zoom in close. You can also search for objects in the sky and have xSky point them out.

xSky is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 23 ratings.
