Create your own Star Wars Ditty with this easy-to-use app
Sometimes, a text message or simple status update on Facebook just isn’t enough, and you want something with a bit more jazz. Even photos don’t always do justice to what you want to convey, so you really need to be able to quickly and easily create a multimedia message with a musical background. A ditty, even. That’s exactly what Ditty by Zya allows you to do, and the app now includes the score from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” so you can set your message to a song from the movie for ultimate power.
Creating your ditty
Once you have the app installed, creating your first masterpiece is simple. You choose the song you want to set your message to, buy it through in-app purchase, if necessary, and then type in your text. Ditty magically transforms your text into song lyrics, with an amazingly talented voice.
Adding in animated GIFs
Once you’ve got your ditty composed, you can spice it up even more with an animated GIF. Ditty draws in these images from Giphy, with a huge library to choose from. The only drawback here is that you can’t easily browse the Giphy library, you can only shuffle through possible animations one at a time until you find one you like.
Sharing your Ditty
Once you’ve finalized your creation, Ditty provides you with multiple ways to share it. You can send it by email, post it to Facebook, send it in a text message, and more.
Getting started with Ditty
Ditty by Zya is designed for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and requires iOS 8 or later. You can download Ditty for free on the App Store, but it only provides you with a handful of free songs to choose from. The rest of the tunes have to be bought using in-app purchases of $0.99 each.
