When it’s game time, sometimes you want a casual play experience, but other times you want something that requires more thought and planning. When you can combine role-playing action with puzzles, this makes for a very interesting experience. That’s just what you get in Chain Quest, an addictive puzzle game with a nice twist of fantasy role-playing mechanics.

Choose your hero

The first thing you’ll do is choose your character class, making your hero a mage, warrior, or rogue. Each class comes with its own strengths, weaknesses, qualities, and skills, so you should choose according to your own wisdom and play style. You can upgrade the skills as you defeat monsters, so the game allows you to continue tweaking your character long after you create it.

Puzzling combinations of chips

To play Chain Quest and defeat your enemies, you combine nearby chips together with chains. These vary from attack, defense, magical attack, magical defense, and monster summoning chips, and the more you combine, the more powerful they are. You and your enemy both have limited health, so choose your attacks and defenses wisely to ensure victory.

Play the tutorial

I strongly recommend playing the tutorial, even though it’s a bit long. This game is very complex, but the tutorial guides you through all of the aspects of making the most of your chips and character abilities. You’ll learn how to make the best chains of chips, as well as how to use your monster summoning and potion skills to their utmost.
