Adult coloring apps are becoming more and more popular these days. From relieving stress to bringing out our creativity, coloring pictures is both therapeutic and enjoyable for many. A new app from Touchpress Limited called Millie Marotta’s Coloring Adventures provides very lovely, detailed images for you to color on your iPad.

What are the coloring options?

Millie Marotta’s Coloring Adventures starts you off with five wonderful pictures depicting plants and animals. The color palette has a range of options, the size of the strokes can be adjusted, and there are both eraser and undo options if you make a mistake. You can save your masterpieces and also share them easily from within the app.

Millie Marotta’s Coloring AdventuresWhat makes it different?

This coloring app specifically for iPad is definitely unlike some we have seen. With other similar apps, you choose a color and then just tap a spot on the picture to fill in that area. But, with Millie Marotta’s Coloring Adventures you actually color in the areas yourself, just like with a crayon or brush, without autofill. So, this app does bring a true coloring experience comparable to the Pigment app.

Millie Marotta’s Coloring AdventuresOverall thoughts

I like the fact that you are coloring in all of the detail yourself rather than the common tap-to-color autofill function. However, it is a little difficult with your finger, so I would recommend really zooming in on the picture as you color so that you can stay within the lines easier. Since the app supports Apple Pencil that would definitely be the way to go if you have one for your iPad Pro.

Millie Marotta’s Coloring Adventures is available on the App Store for free with no ads for iPad only. In other news, take a look at Crashlands will soon let you create your own worlds and campaigns or Her Story developer Sam Barlow teases a ‘spiritual successor’.
