We recently saw a terrific update to the ESPN app bringing integration with WatchESPN allowing you to catch live games without the need to open a separate app. In another update today, Jan. 12, the ESPN app brings headlines for your preferred teams right to the home screen and lets you subscribe to podcasts.

Podcast subscriptions

For podcast subscriptions, you just tap the headphones icon to get started. There are tons of options from radio and TV shows to specifics like horse racing and college basketball. Inside each category you select the podcast, hit Subscribe, and then those you chose will appear on your main podcast screen. And, if you have to stop listening part of the way through a podcast, you can pick up right where you left off later.

ESPNWhat else is new

In order to bring you the headlines you care about most, just select your favorite teams. Now those headlines will be displayed for you right on the home screen. Aside from bug fixes for logging in and registering with the app, it has also been spiffed up a bit to look great on iPad Pro. And, don’t forget to log into your cable service provider to check out live games shown on the ESPN television channel.

ESPN is a wildly popular app for sports enthusiasts, with good reason. It gives you the sports information you want with articles and videos, real-time updates, live streaming ESPN radio, highlights, scores, and more. Bringing additional features to sports fans, this update is just another incentive to download the app if you haven’t already.

The ESPN app is available for free on the App Store and is designed for iPhone and iPad with Apple Watch and iPod touch support. In other news today, check out Electronic Arts updates Need for Speed: No Limits and Real Racing 3 or Enter TV Land and catch full episodes of your favorites.
