The BBC has recently updated its UK iPlayer iPad app, making it a universal application that supports the iPhone and iPod touch, along with Apple's iPad. Furthermore, the app now supports streaming over 3G, meaning UK-based Apple fans can enjoy watching live TV through the BBC iPlayer app while connected to a 3G cellular data network.

BBC iPlayer Hits Europe, €6.99/Month Subscription Fee - Should Reach America Soon

The British Broadcasting Corporation has now launched BBC iPlayer in 11 countries across Europe, as expected. The service can be accessed for €6.99/month, or for a €49.99 annual fee. Furthermore, the BBC also released a "global" version of its BBC iPlayer iPad app, which can be downloaded in the App Store for free.
