Back in November, @pod2g (an iOS hacker) posted a Twitter update noting that a bug had be found that could untether iOS 5. Following this, @p0sixninja of the Chronic Dev-Team confirmed that this exploit is indeed legitimate, but added that it's being kept "highly guarded" for the time being. Now, a video has been uploaded to @pod2g's YouTube channel, demonstrating the untethered jailbreak solution on an iOS device running iOS 5.

Apple, moments ago, released iOS 5.1 beta to registered members of the iOS developer program.. The release, which is available now through Apple’s iOS Dev Center, is for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, and third and fourth-generation iPod touch devices. While the release notes don't list anything significant in iOS 5.1, it does include text that suggests a Sprint iPad 2 Wi + 3G model might be coming.

Since the launch of iOS 5 (which adds Twitter integration to iOS devices), Apple fans have been going tweetin' mad, signing-up to the micro-blogging social network like there's no tomorrow and uploading photos to the website using the built-in Photos app. Now, a new study has claimed that two out of every five photos uploaded to Twitter come from an Apple product, and that the Photos app is the seventh most popular photo sharing client for Twitter.
