The next-generation full-size iPad could arrive as early as March 2013. What's more, it's going to be thinner and lighter than the current iPad model.

The Japanese blog Macotakara - not always a credible source, we should note - has made a number of claims regarding the launch of the iPad 3. First, we heard that the third-generation tablet would launch in February, with its own dedicated media event (as one might expect). However, the website is now claiming that this event will instead be a "strange" event, and that Apple's iPad 3 will be announced in March, the month after.
